HOW DO I CREATE AN ACCOUNT?
Download the Vertigo® mobile application for iOS or Android. Open the app and click Sign Up to create a new Vertigo account. You can sign up with an email address, phone number, Facebook account, or Sign up with Apple.
Enter your name, birthdate, and gender (optional), and then create a Vertigo username and password. Your password must contain at least one letter and one number. Review the End User License Agreement and select Agree.
DO I NEED A PREMIUM STREAMING PROVIDER?
Yes, you'll need a Spotify Premium or Apple Music account to hear music in the app. You can access our other features without connecting a streaming provider.
HOW DO I FIND FRIENDS?
Click on your profile and tap the gear icon at the top right corner. Scroll down to the Find friends section, and you can search for friends in your Contacts or on Facebook. You can also search for friends on the Discover page and entering a name or username in the search bar.
WHAT IS A LISTENING LOUNGE?
A listening lounge is a digital room where people can listen to music together real-time with a shared, votable queue. The owner of the lounge can turn on live video or audio as well as control the music at any time.
HOW CAN I CREATE A LISTENING LOUNGE?
To create a listening lounge, tap the Start + button. Give your lounge a name. Select Private or Public, depending on whether you want your listening lounge to be viewable by others. If Private, select your followers you want to invite. Click LET’S GO!
HOW CAN I PLAY MUSIC IN A LISTENING LOUNGE?
To see what's playing, tap the music bar on the bottom of your screen and select Queue. To add an entire playlist, click Playlists, select the menu icon next to any playlist, and tap Add to Queue. To add individual songs, tap the + QUEUE button next to any song.
Your queue is shared by default, so your friends can add songs and vote what plays next in the lounge. If you prefer to control the music selection, then go to Queue and select Lock Queue on the top left corner. Regardless, as the owner of the lounge, you can always control the music by pausing, rewinding, or forwarding songs.
WHAT CAN I DO IN A LISTENING LOUNGE?
Say hello to your listeners by sending a message in the text box. Verified Artists can also pin comments to the top of the chat screen by tapping on the pin icon before clicking Send. Tap the Camera icon to add a background image (wallpaper) for your lounge. Tap the Microphone or Videocam icon to start live audio or video. The volume of the music will decrease when live mic is turned on, so your listeners can hear you speak.
There is also a permanent chat thread in every listening lounge. Tap the chat icon to access. Share playlists, albums, artists, songs as well as photos and videos all set to music!
HOW CAN I FIND LISTENING LOUNGES TO JOIN?
On the Discover page, you'll see Trending Lounges. Tap any lounge to join! Also, use Search to look for lounges.
To become a member of a lounge, simply tap the + profile icon once in the lounge. Now that you’re a member, this lounge will show up under your list of Lounges accessed on the bottom menu. Make sure your push notifications are on, so you’re notified when there is activity in the lounge!
WHAT IS AN ARTIST LOUNGE?
All artists that have music on Spotify and Apple have an official Artist Lounge on Vertigo. To join an artist lounge, just search for the artist and click their Lounge button. Music by that artist immediately begins to play. If the artist is verified and owns their lounge, they have access to host features like live video, audio and the ability to pin comments. However, fans can still hang out in the Artist Lounge even if the artist is not there.

WHAT KIND OF DATA DO YOU COLLECT ABOUT ME?
When you sign up for an account, we collect certain information like the email address used to create your account. As you interact on the platform, we automatically collect information about your device to help us operate and maintain your account, analyze user activity, and provide technical support. HOW DO I ACCESS, MODIFY OR DELETE MY DATA?
You can access and update some of your data (like your name, email address, phone number, gender, and profile image) by going to the Settings (gear icon on your profile page). To view, request, or delete other data, you can send us a data request to [email protected]. We take the security of your data very seriously, so you’ll need to have a verified email address to receive a data report.
CAN I BLOCK A USER?
Yes. Go to the user's profile and select the menu icon on the top right corner. You can opt to either Mute or Block the user. To view your blocked users, go to the Settings (the gear icon on your profile page) and scroll down to Blocked Users.
HOW DO I REPORT ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR?
It is important to us that our community enjoys a safe and fun experience when using the app. Our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use describe our expectations for our users. You can always report abuse on the platform, including harassment, bullying, or any other safety concern, by sending us a message at [email protected]. Every report is reviewed by our team, usually within 24 hours. Together we can keep the community in the Vertigo® app a safe and fun space for all users.
HOW DO I REPORT INFRINGEMENT?
