Vertigo to launch fan app for international tennis star Kei Nishikori
Vertigo Media announces the upcoming relaunch of the Kei Nishikori Official App. Since 2016, Vertigo Media, Inc. and Social Channel, Inc. have partnered to create a unique fan app experience for Japan’s most celebrated athlete.
The upgraded app, expected in late November, will still deliver the personal fan experience subscribers expect—exclusive content, direct messaging, live streams, and live chats from Nishikori—and adds new features and enhancements that leverage Vertigo’s patented technology. For one thing, fans can now meet up in virtual party rooms to chat about the international tennis star while listening to music together.
Nishikori is the only Japanese tennis player in history to be ranked among the top 5 in men’s singles. He reached a career high of 4th in 2015 and is currently ranked 35th in the world. Nishikori chats live with fans in his app on a weekly basis and regularly posts news, photos, and videos to premium subscribers of the app.
